What to expect

This adventure day starts at the main entrance of the Port Limón cruise terminal, meeting the Sunrise Tours Limón staff and driving to this beautiful countryside of small towns and roads, only 25 minutes from Limón city.

One of these small farms lies at the foothills of Matama mountain, a unique wildlife biological mountain and part of La Amistad National Park.

Enjoy horseback riding into this forest, looking for different birds, monkeys, sloths and natural pure air along the riversides at Ponderosa Hills Family Farm.

Fruits, water and juice are waiting for you at the ranch.

On the way back to Limón, a guided walk through a banana plantation to learn about harvesting bananas, and shopping time for coffee and souvenirs.

3. Banana Plantation – Souvenirs & Coffee Time

   ~1 hour

   Walk in a banana plantation and learn about the fruit industry, with free time for shopping handmade wood souvenirs, coffee or chocolate and traditional products from Costa Rica.

Where we meet

Jesus meets you at Puerto Limón.

Pickup at the cruise pier. Share your ship's name and your arrival and all-aboard times; Jesus plans the tour around them and confirms the timing in your proposal.
