What to expect

The Undiscovered Caribbean Adventure is our best day tour in Limón.

Discover the most emblematic natural treasures of the Caribbean Costa Rica rainforest on a guided day: walk the Cahuita National Park trails looking for sloths, monkeys, toucans and surprises.

Learn about the reefs and rainforest protected by SINAC (National System of Conservation Areas and National Parks).

Stop on the way for a guided walk in a banana plantation to learn about harvesting bananas and one of the biggest fruit industries.

Shopping for coffee, souvenirs and gifts.

The next 2 hours take us on a jungle boat tour to enjoy the Tortuguero Canals from Moín town, looking for tiger herons, crocodiles, sloths, monkeys, caimans and local flora and fauna.

Finish your day with a relaxing visit to Playa Bonita Beach, with time for lunch or snacks, all organized by our Sunrise Tours Limón staff for your best experience in our evergreen province.

Step by step

1. Cahuita National Park Hike

   ~2.5 hours

   A gentle guided walk through the tropical forest looking for monkeys, sloths and birds along the Cahuita National Park coastline, reefs and tropical rainforest.

   Time to swim at the National Park beach.

   Recommendations Comfortable closed shoes or hiking shoes · Sunscreen and insect repellent · Swimsuit

2. Guided Walk at a Banana Plantation & Shopping

   1 hour

   Walk in a real organic banana plantation and learn with your guide about sustainable harvesting of bananas and coffee. Time for tasting and shopping.

3. Tortuguero Canals Boat Tour (Moín)

   ~2 hours

   Covered boat tour through the Tortuguero Canals. Spot crocodiles, monkeys, sloths, herons, and local and exotic birds while you enjoy this tour along the mangroves and jungle.
