What to expect

The Cruise Day Undiscovered Caribbean Combo is a special tour for cruise passengers who want to make the most of every hour on land. We pick you up right at the Puerto Limón port and take you on a journey of discovery along the Caribbean coast — from the historic downtown of Puerto Limón to the wild Tortuguero Canals, with a beach break, a banana plantation walk and time for shopping.

This is a fully private tour. Your certified guide will keep an eye on the time and coordinate with your ship's boarding schedule.

Transportation, tour guide and fresh tropical fruits are all included. Ideal for first-time visitors who want to experience the best of Limón in one efficient, comfortable and wonderful day.

Step by step

1. Pickup at the Cruise Terminal – Limón City Tour

   Panoramic tour of Puerto Limón, the Caribbean capital of Costa Rica, starting at Vargas Park as your adventure begins.

2. Tortuguero Canals Boat Tour

   ~1:30 hours

   Covered boat tour through the Tortuguero Canals departing from Moín town, looking for wildlife: sloths, herons, crocodiles, monkeys and birds through the jungle.

3. Playa Bonita Beach

   15 minutes for pictures

   Free time to take photos at the most popular beach in Limón city.

4. Cahuita National Park Rainforest Walk

   ~2 hours

   1-hour walk, 1-hour beach break.

   Recommendations Closed shoes (required) · Long pants preferred (light clothes)

5. Banana Plantation Walk

   1 hour total

   30 minutes walking, 30 minutes shopping.

   Learn about banana growing, farming and the export process at a local farm — one of the industries that shaped modern Limón and defines its landscape today.

Where we meet

Jesus meets you at Puerto Limón.

Pickup at the cruise pier. Share your ship's name and your arrival and all-aboard times; Jesus plans the tour around them and confirms the timing in your proposal.
